Huntsville State Park

Another day of family fun, this time Gabe came along...

Here is a shot of Chloe holding her head up:

Today we went to "Meet the Teacher" at school. Jacob will be in the fourth grade and Matthew will be in Kindergarten. Jacob's class will have a different teacher for Math and Science. Upon meeting the teacher and being asked, "Hey, do you like math or science?", Jacob promptly responded, "no" and looked away. I had to pull him back into the conversation and have him admit that he does, in fact, like science. As we were leaving the building one of the personnel cheerfully said, "See you on Monday". Jacob responded, in a tone reminiscent of Eeyore,
"Or not". I'd say we are off to a great start. Stay tuned for more fun and laughs.

A day away

Yesterday we took advantage of a free day.
No work, just play.
Sadly, our eldest decided to spend time at his grandparents' house
and ditched us.
We missed him, but we enjoyed ourselves anyway.

Louis giving Jacob a good toss in the air.
The boys had a great time at Lake Sommerville.
Blue Bell...it's the best.
Matthew in the water. Lounging.
Chloe had a good time. Can you tell?

On the way home we saw a vulture.

Little lady

Here is our little lady. This picture was taken July 29, just days shy of turning three months old. (Beautiful dress courtesy of Zoe.) Louis and I often wonder what her personality will be like and I wonder how much of it will be shaped by having three older brothers. Time will tell...
